What started on July 26 with 24 strangers competing for the N160m Big Brother Naija prize has turned into 70 days full of friendships, romance, betrayals, arguments, punishments, disqualifications, and unexpected twists.

Now, just nine housemates are left.

Aikou, Barry, Bluethopia, Flora, Oyin, Ricky, Sheba, Temi Nkem, and Tram will step onto the finale stage tonight, hoping to win the ‘Show Ya Sef’ season.

But before Big Brother picks its 11th winner, let’s look back at the journey.

From the first week, it was clear that Season 11 would be filled with drama.

The 24 housemates entered with different personalities, goals, and strategies. As the days went by, the competition went beyond just trying to be Head of House. Biggie introduced twists that shook up alliances and forced housemates to rethink their moves.

Friendships and romantic ties also formed.

Some connections felt natural, while others played into the game’s social dynamics. Yusuf and Bells became a well-known couple, their relationship caught attention until both left the show.

But romance was just part of the story.

The house also saw fights over chores, food, belongings, nominations, and feelings of disrespect. Some housemates became more vocal over time, while others took a quieter, more strategic route to stay in the game.

A key development was the rise of different social groups within the house. Friendships turned into alliances, and those alliances influenced nominations. Sometimes, nominations changed friends into enemies.

The pressure increased with Biggie’s twists.

Housemates faced unusual punishments, secret missions, face-to-face nominations, and changing rules. Even those who thought they had the game figured out found themselves at risk.

One of the biggest disciplinary moments came when Nomy was disqualified for ignoring Big Brother’s rules. She had already received a strike and a final warning. But another violation led to her exit.

Big Brother took away her right to play and gave her 30 minutes to pack her things and leave.

Her disqualification showed that no housemate, no matter how popular, was above the rules.

Serious strategy battles also took place.

Abi stood out as a strong contestant, winning the Head of House title twice. Her wins gave her control at key moments and showed how vital Arena performances were for gaining power and avoiding eviction.

But even strong players could not stay safe forever.

The eviction rounds slowly cut down the number of housemates. Some who seemed strong at first ended up leaving.

Mercedes and Martins were the first to be evicted, setting a tone for a game where early fans did not guarantee staying power.

The later rounds became even tougher.

Abi and Araga were among those evicted in a double eviction, while Nomy had already been disqualified.

Then came one of the biggest eviction nights.

On September 20, Yusuf, Bells, and Chimsom Chuka were evicted all at once. Their exits were big news because all three had become popular in the house. Chimsom had even served as Head of House twice during his 56 days.

Chimsom’s departure showed how quickly things could change for housemates. A contestant who had a lot of power earlier was now out of the game, leaving others to fight for the last spots.

Then Barry switched things up.

After winning the Head of House challenge in Week Eight, Barry also got the Ultimate Veto Power. This gave him a big edge as the show headed into its final stretch.

He used the veto to save Aikou from eviction.

But his biggest decision was still ahead.

With 10 housemates remaining, Biggie gave Barry a choice: “Immunity For All” or “Immunity For None.”

Barry chose immunity for all.

This choice guaranteed all 10 housemates a spot in the grand finale. It was a huge strategic moment since it removed the uncertainty of the final eviction.

Barry’s decision also led to one of Biggie’s biggest tricks of the season.

During a live show, Ricky, Tram, and Temi Nkem were announced as evicted. For a moment, it looked like three more finalists had been removed. But it was a fake eviction.

The trio were taken out of the main house but returned, surprising and relieving the other housemates. Their return showed that Biggie could still shake things up, even with the finalists.

Just when it seemed the finale would go smoothly, Keivo caused one last shock.

The trouble started over a black shirt. Tram said Keivo took his shirt. Keivo denied it, saying he had a similar one. What began as a disagreement turned into a physical fight.

Big Brother reviewed the footage, saw that Keivo was the aggressor, and disqualified him. This happened just days before the finale and cut the finalists from 10 to nine.

It was a dramatic end for a housemate who was already set for the finale.

Keivo’s exit showed that while Big Brother could overlook arguments, physical violence was not allowed.

By the final week, the original 24 had become nine. Aikou made it through the early and middle parts of the game, building a strong presence.

Barry proved to be a strategic player, winning the Ultimate Veto Power and making the choice that sent everyone into the finale.

Bluethopia stayed in the game through changing alliances and nominations. Flora played the social game while also getting involved in memorable moments.

Oyin was one of the housemates who sparked discussions. Ricky survived the fake eviction twist and kept his spot in the finale. Sheba made it through the tough late stages.

Temi Nkem also survived the fake eviction and made it to the final nine. Tram, who was involved in the incident that led to Keivo’s disqualification, reached the finale too.

Together, they represent nine unique journeys through the same 70-day experience. This variety has been a key feature of ‘Show Ya Sef.’

There was no one story that carried the season. Instead, the focus shifted from one housemate to another.

One week showcased romance. Another week had a fight. Then came a big eviction, a punishment, or a new twist from Biggie. Just when alliances seemed stable, nominations changed everything.

Just when viewers thought they knew who would leave, a veto, immunity, or fake eviction changed things. Even the final stretch did not follow the usual script.

Barry’s Ultimate Veto decision secured the final 10. Biggie’s fake eviction unsettled the group. Keivo’s disqualification cut the finalists to nine.

That is how the season reaches tonight’s grand finale.

After more than two months of living together under watch, playing Arena games, going through nominations, building friendships, dating, handling fights, and facing Biggie’s twists, the remaining housemates have just one hurdle left.

The viewers.

Voting has closed, and the public will decide who wins. The finale starts at 7 pm today, with performances and a look back at some of the season’s biggest moments before the winner is named.

From the 24 housemates who entered in July to the nine who are left tonight, ‘Show Ya Sef’ has brought its share of romance, rivalry, strategy, drama, and surprises.

There have been tears and celebrations, friendships and fallouts, evictions and comebacks.

Two housemates were disqualified, and there were many major twists, leading to a finale that remained uncertain until the last days.

Now, after 70 days, Biggie’s doors are about to close on another season. One housemate will walk away with the grand prize.

The others will leave with something else: 70 days of memories, friendships, controversies, and a spot in the Big Brother Naija story.
