Activist Aisha Yesufu has joined the “Osun Script” campaign on social media. She is committed to protecting her vote ahead of the 2027 elections.

Yesufu made her announcement in a post on X on Saturday. She shared a personalised poster created through an online link. This link helps people show their dedication to safeguarding their votes.

In her pledge, Yesufu introduced herself as being from the Federal Capital Territory. She plans to vote for the National Democratic Congress in the election set for January 16, 2027.

Yesufu explained her promise by stating that she will be involved in the voting and counting processes to ensure her vote is protected. “I am Aisha Yesufu from FCT. I will vote NDC on 16 January 2027 and play the Osun Script to protect my vote: vote, stay, count, snap the result sheet,” she said.

The campaign encourages people to fill out an online form to create personalised posters with their details and pledges. Participants are also asked to share these graphics on social media to spread the word about the campaign.

Yesufu called on more Nigerians to get involved. She emphasized that the 2027 elections should be approached differently than the 2023 general elections. “2027 is not 2023. Learn the Osun Script and make your own pledge,” she stated.

The activist also urged Nigerians to support former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi and former Kano State Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso. She used the hashtags #YouRigWeOsunYou and #VoteNDC to promote this message.

The “Osun Script” is named after the 2026 Osun State governorship election. In that election, incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke from the Accord Party defeated Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress.

Adeleke received 511,067 votes while Oyebamiji got 444,815 votes, winning by a margin of 66,252 votes. The Independent National Electoral Commission declared Adeleke the winner on August 16, 2026, after the election took place the day before.

The campaign’s slogan, “vote, stay, count, snap the result sheet”, encourages voters to cast their votes, stay at polling units to watch the counting process, and take pictures of result sheets where allowed.
