Anthony Joshua wins by knockout against Kristian Prenga

British-Nigerian heavyweight boxer, Anthony Joshua, has claimed an exciting victory over Kristian Prenga. He stopped the heavyweight challenger by knockout after an intense fight.

As reported by BBC Sport on Saturday, Joshua faced a tough start. Prenga came out strong and landed some heavy punches on the former world champion in the first round.

The Briton was knocked down twice, shocking the audience as Prenga aimed for a surprising win. But Joshua bounced back quickly. He showed his skill by putting on relentless pressure and landing powerful combinations.

The former heavyweight champion flipped the fight and forced a stoppage in the second round. He unleashed a right hand that sent Albanian Prenga crashing down. The referee then ended the contest.

“It’s more than punch power. That was spirit, that was Latz, that was Sina, that was the family. It hurts to even talk about it. It has been tough,” Joshua, 36, said.

There was talk that fellow Briton Tyson Fury might show up, even though he said he wouldn't attend. But Fury kept his word and was not there, just a day after his own warm-up win over Mariusz Wach in Thailand.

“I respect everything he has done and everything that he has achieved, but as a fighting person, we’re here now. I hope the fans will be in for a lovely treat,” Joshua said about the idea of fighting Fury.

Contracts are signed, but the date and venue for this long-awaited fight are still unknown. This wild night belonged to Joshua, a victory earned through tough times in his life.
