Mikel Arteta has the highest win percentage of any Arsenal manager with at least 50 matches in charge. His record stands at 60.9 percent, putting him ahead of Arsene Wenger and other club legends.
Arsenal shared this information on their official website on Wednesday. This comes after Arteta signed a new contract that will keep him at the club until 2030.
PUNCH Online reported earlier on Wednesday that Arteta's new contract will last until June 2030. The club mentioned that Arteta is already one of their all-time greats.
He has led Arsenal to the Premier League title, a Champions League final, an FA Cup, and four top-two finishes in the league.
The 44-year-old has managed 361 matches for Arsenal. He has won 220, drawn 67, and lost 74. His win rate of 60.9 percent is the highest among Arsenal managers with at least 50 games.
Wenger, who managed Arsenal for the longest time, had a win rate of 57.2 percent from 1,235 matches. Unai Emery had a win rate of 55.1 percent from 78 matches. Other managers like Harry Bradshaw, Herbert Chapman, and George Graham are below Arteta on the list.
Arsenal noted that Arteta has the best win percentage among the six managers who have overseen more matches than him. He has achieved this from his 360 matches in charge so far.
Arteta's 60.9 percent figure is impressive, especially since he has managed fewer games than the six other Arsenal bosses. He crossed the 350-game milestone toward the end of last season. Arteta is expected to reach 400 matches as Arsenal manager during the 2026/27 season.
The club also highlighted his achievements in the Premier League. He has reached 150 victories already. He achieved this in 249 matches, with only four managers getting to 150 wins faster.
Arteta's current average of 2.01 points per game in the Premier League ranks him seventh among managers with at least 50 matches in the league. Pep Guardiola tops that list with 2.28 points per game, followed by Sir Alex Ferguson at 2.17, Jurgen Klopp at 2.11, Roberto Mancini at 2.05, Antonio Conte at 2.03, and Jose Mourinho at 2.02.
At 44 years and 54 days, Arteta is the youngest Arsenal manager to win the league championship. He narrowly beat Graham, who was 124 days older when he led Arsenal to the title in 1988/89.
Arsenal stated that Arteta's record places him among the club's most successful managers as he begins the next stage of his time at the club after signing his new contract.
