As plans ramp up for the 2026 Practical Nigerian Content (PNC) Forum, set for 30 November to 3 December 2026, the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) and DMG Events have strengthened their ongoing partnership with the Bayelsa State Government. This effort aims to ensure a smooth hosting of this major industry event.

This commitment was confirmed on Tuesday during a meeting between NCDMB and DMG Events officials with Bayelsa State's Deputy Governor, Peter Pereotubo Akpe, at the Government House in Yenagoa.

The meeting was held to thank the State Government for its support over the past 15 years in organizing the PNC. They also sought continued help for the upcoming 15th edition, which will take place at the NCDMB Conference Centre in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.

Leading the NCDMB team, General Manager of Corporate Communications, Obinna Ezeobi, talked about the economic benefits of the PNC Forum and other NCDMB activities in Bayelsa State. He also conveyed the gratitude of NCDMB's Executive Secretary, Felix Omatsola Ogbe, to the Bayelsa State Government for its crucial role in the PNC, especially in hosting the opening banquet and supporting the Youth PNC segment. This segment aims to expose young people in the Niger Delta to job opportunities in the oil and gas sector and skills for success in other key areas.

Ezeobi also mentioned new initiatives for the 2026 PNC Forum, aimed at energizing the conference and adding value for attendees. Senior Manager of Zonal Coordination at NCDMB, Adebayo Joseph, discussed plans for the Youth PNC.

DMG's leader, Olamide Oloko, shared details about the main PNC program and new features like the Local Content Roundtable on November 30 and a two-day program for Local Community Contractors (LCCs) to help improve their operations.

Other exciting initiatives at this year's PNC include breakout sessions to gather opinions from stakeholders that will influence the future of Nigerian Content over the next ten years. There will also be a Townhall Session with key industry leaders, including the Executive Secretary of NCDMB, the Group CEO of NNPC Ltd, the Chief Executive of NUPRC, the Chairman of OPTS, and the Chairman of PETAN.

In his response, Deputy Governor Akpe promised Bayelsa State's ongoing partnership. He assured delegates of enough security and reaffirmed the State’s tradition of hosting the gala dinner. He also emphasized the need for more participation from senior oil and gas industry officials at the welcome gala dinner.

The Practical Nigerian Content Forum, held yearly by NCDMB and DMG Events, is a key platform for reviewing and tracking local content development. It also aims to find new ways to grow investments in Nigeria’s oil and gas industry. The 2026 edition is expected to strengthen collaboration, boost local involvement, and improve value retention in the sector.
