Afrobeats star David Adeleke, known as Davido, has marked the birthday of his late son, Ifeanyi. He shared his feelings for the young boy who is no longer with us.
Ifeanyi was born on October 20, 2019, to Davido and his wife, Chioma Adeleke. He would have turned seven on Tuesday.
Davido posted a heartfelt message on social media, saying he and Ifeanyi’s mother still feel his absence.
“Happy birthday son …. Me and mommy miss and love you! Keep flying high,” Davido wrote.
Ifeanyi tragically passed away on October 31, 2022, at the age of three, after an accident in a swimming pool.
The Lagos State Police Command confirmed the cause of death after an autopsy was done on the child.
Police spokesperson Benjamin Hundeyin told PUNCH at that time, “Autopsy has been concluded. It confirms the boy (Ifeanyi) drowned.”
The loss left many in shock. Fans, entertainers, and public figures sent their condolences to Davido and Chioma as they mourned their son.
