Ekiti Candidate Promises Development for Constituents

Nigeria Democratic Congress House of Representatives candidate for Ekiti North 1 Federal Constituency, Apostle Ayodele David-Adesua, has said he wants to bring development back to Ikole and Oye local government areas in Ekiti State.

David-Adesua called the poor representation of his constituency at the National Assembly a major problem for development. He decided to run for office to make changes based on the NDC ideology of serving the people.

In a statement shared in Ado Ekiti on Tuesday, he said, "For too long, Ekiti North Federal Constituency 1 has cried out. For too long, our fathers, our mothers, our youth, and our elderly in Ikole and Oye have waited for the true dividends of democracy that were promised to us.

"But roads are left undone, jobs are scarce, our schools, our hospitals are in need and our voices are muffled. Ekiti Oke has not been properly represented in the National Assembly. The result is the inadequate development that we see and feel in our communities every single day."

The politician, who is in the 2027 House of Representatives race to serve the people and fix the neglect and lack of development, said, "This is not another politician seeking self-service.

"This is a servant coming with a burden, a burden to see development return to our communities, a burden to see prosperity for our society, a burden to lift our youth, to empower our women, and to protect the well-being of our elderly who built this land with their sweat."

David-Adesua believes he is capable and reliable to bring the dividends of democracy to the constituency for everyone's benefit. He asked all eligible voters for support in order to progress communities in Oye and Ikole local government areas.

He stated, "I am not coming to represent myself. I am coming to represent you, the farmer in Ikole, the trader in Oye, the graduate seeking work, the widow, the student, and the elder on his walking stick. I chose NDC not because of power, but because of its sacred ideology, service to the people. This is a party that believes government must work for the common man.

"To those who know me, to those who have walked with me, to those who have seen my antecedents, you can attest to one thing: I have always loved to serve. Not for titles. Not for self. But for the benefit of mankind and for the glory of God,” David-Adesua said.
