A family dispute has broken out in the house of former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai. His son Bashir has been attacking his elder brother Bello on social media. Bello is currently a member of the House of Representatives.

Bashir posted on his social media pages, accusing Bello, who represents the Kaduna North Federal Constituency, of using drugs, being a hypocrite, and betraying the family in the conflict between their father and the current governor, Uba Sani.

"I have a useless excuse for a brother, with his bony-ass face coated with an unknown white substance around his nostrils every night. That is your Member of the House of Representatives, representing a whole constituency, but he prefers alcohol and cocaine.

"Wawa (Fool). Telling me to kill myself, the idiot should first slaughter his daughter, then I will believe he is real and serious. Someone who had to wank to conceive children through IVF is the one sitting on a high horse. Go fix your balls. Your wives, both ex and present, were not the problem.

"He was stuck with Uba Sani until he realised he was being dumped, then suddenly remembered family loyalty and moved to the African Democratic Congress (ADC). Where was he before then?

"He is purely serving his own interests. When people like us were countering the ‘towel governor,’ the bastard was nowhere to be found, hiding, eating, and wiping his mouth. This is the same idiot who asked me to pipe down on my criticisms," Bashir wrote, targeting his elder brother.

Governor Sani was a political mentee and close ally of Nasir El-Rufai. But tensions rose after Sani announced that his government inherited a huge debt of $587 million, N85 billion, and 115 contractual liabilities. He said these debts made it hard for his administration to pay salaries and carry out projects.

This political issue has caused a deep divide among Nasir El-Rufai’s sons. Bashir has been consistently attacking Governor Sani online, calling his government incompetent. On the other hand, Bello, the federal lawmaker, initially kept his distance from Bashir’s actions, showing loyalty to Sani, whom he views as a mentor.

The latest outburst from Bashir focused on claims that Bello only returned to the family after his relationship with Governor Sani soured. This led to accusations of Bello being opportunistic and betraying the family.
