Nigerian singer Fireboy DML has shared the tracklist for his fifth studio album, ZUKO!. The album will drop on Friday under YBNL Nation and EMPIRE.
The 13 tracks include features from Nigerian artists Lojay and Judah Earl, Jamaican dancehall star Masicka, and South African acts JAZZWRLD and Thukuthela.
This announcement comes two years after Fireboy released Adedamola, his fourth album. That album looked at personal themes and had collaborations with both international and African artists.
The tracklist mixes Afrobeats, dancehall, and Southern African sounds, continuing the vibe from the singles released before the album.

Singles set the mood
Two singles have given a taste of the album's sound.
“CLAAT!”, which features Masicka, brings in a dancehall feel. “IMALI”, featuring JAZZWRLD and Thukuthela, has Southern African vibes tied to 3-step and Amapiano.
Fireboy said “IMALI” is the last single before the album drops. This song has also made it to the Official Nigeria Top 100 chart.
These collaborations show a shift from the more introspective tone of Adedamola. Instead, they mix sounds from various African music scenes and the Caribbean.
The meaning behind ‘ZUKO!’
The album’s name refers to Prince Zuko, a character from the animated show Avatar: The Last Airbender. Zuko’s story is about exile, identity, self-discovery, and redemption.
Fireboy’s promotional campaign uses this theme, featuring bold red visuals, a stylish red suit, and cinematic scenes.
He has also shared THE RED COUCH SESSION: ZUKO! content on YouTube as part of the album promotion.
Though the full album isn’t out yet, the title and promotional content hint at a story-driven time for Fireboy. We will see how much Zuko’s journey influences the album's lyrics and themes once it is released.
Following up on ‘Adedamola’
Since he broke into the Nigerian music scene, Fireboy has created a body of work that includes melodic Afrobeats, contemporary R&B, and pop sounds.
He released his first album, Laughter, Tears and Goosebumps, in 2019 with hits like “Jealous” and “Vibrations.”
He followed up with Apollo in 2020, then Playboy in 2022. Playboy came out during the worldwide success of “Peru,” which had a remix featuring British singer Ed Sheeran.
In 2024, he dropped Adedamola, named after his full name, Adedamola Oyinlola Adefolahan. That album focused more on personal stories and included features from artists like Jon Batiste and Seun Kuti.
ZUKO! will be his first full-length album in two years and his fifth studio project since his debut in 2019. Released under Olamide’s YBNL Nation and EMPIRE, the album is set to showcase Fireboy’s musical style through various collaborations and influences.
