Fishermen Save Woman Who Jumped into Lagos Lagoon

A woman was saved by local fishermen after she jumped into the Lagos lagoon from the Idumota-Carter Bridge.

The incident happened on Tuesday afternoon, according to a video shared by a user on X.com, #ChuksErice.

In the video, the woman was seen sitting in a wooden canoe after being pulled from the water. A fisherman was paddling the canoe away from the bridge.

The woman looked confused as she sat in the canoe following her rescue.

People who had gathered on the bridge reacted to the situation, wondering what made the woman jump into the lagoon.

A woman speaking in Yoruba asked, “What were you thinking to that extent?”

A man was also heard saying, “I can never kill myself because of thinking,” while another person responded, “Pray to never be in that position.”
