Germany beats Ivory Coast 2-1 to move on in World Cup

Germany made it to the knockout stages of the World Cup after beating Ivory Coast 2-1 on Thursday. The match took place at Al Bayt Stadium. Germany got ahead in the first half thanks to striker Kai Havertz.

Havertz scored the first goal in the 23rd minute. He took advantage of a mistake by the Ivory Coast defense. The Germans kept pushing, and just before halftime, they made it 2-0 with a great shot from Leroy Sané.

Ivory Coast did not give up in the second half. They got back into the game when Wilfried Zaha scored in the 68th minute. But Germany stayed strong in the final minutes to hold on to their lead and win the match.
