Head Coach Eboboritse Uwejamomere has picked a squad of 25 Golden Eaglets. He believes this team will bring pride to Nigeria at the WAFU-B U17 Championship. The tournament kicks off in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso's capital, on Saturday.
Nigeria, a five-time world champion, is in group B of this championship. This tournament is a qualifier for next year’s U17 Africa Cup of Nations, which will take place in Morocco.
The Eaglets will take on Niger Republic and Côte d’Ivoire in the group stage. In group A, the hosts Burkina Faso will face Ghana, Togo, and Benin Republic.
Eboboritse’s squad includes three goalkeepers, seven defenders, eight midfielders, and seven forwards.
The Eaglets will leave Nigeria on Tuesday morning. They have eight days to prepare their tactics and technical skills before their first match on 14 October.
