Gospel singer Esther Igbekele mourns her mother

Nigerian gospel singer, Esther Igbekele, has shared the sad news about her mother's passing. Mary Amope Igbekele (JP) has died.

Esther posted about it on Instagram on Friday. She shared her deep sorrow over losing her mother.

She wrote, “AND MY MOTHER DIED. Death, you took my GOLD away.”

The family had just celebrated her mother's 70th birthday and wedding anniversary. Now, they are grieving her loss.

Fans and well-wishers have sent their condolences to Esther and her family. Many people are showing support during this tough time.

Esther is known as the Duchess of Gospel Music. She started her music career in 1996 and has many gospel projects.

She has performed at various gospel events in Nigeria and even abroad. This includes concerts in the United States and the United Kingdom.

So far, Esther has not shared what caused her mother’s death or any details about the funeral arrangements.
