Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has given ₦50 million to support a hospital project in Offa. He also awarded ₦10 million in scholarships to 50 students from an Arabic school in the area.

The governor made the donations during the Annual Maolud Nabiy celebration. This event was organized by the Chief Imam of Offa, Muyideen Hussein, in Offa, Kwara State.

The total donations include ₦50 million for the hospital and ₦200,000 each for the 50 students. This brings the total support to ₦60 million.

At the event, Mr Hussein praised the governor for helping the Offa community, his school, and the Adabiyyah movement. He said that Governor AbdulRazaq’s work in the area has made people appreciate his leadership.

“I am welcoming Your Excellency to Offa, your second home. We are pleased to receive you today. We welcome you because you are a true philanthropist and a blessing to the Offa community,” he said.

Mr Hussein thanked the governor for his support of the hospital project, which is still under construction. He also appreciated the governor’s contributions to the school and its students.

The Olofa of Offa, Oba Mufutau Gbadamosi, also thanked Mr AbdulRazaq for his donations and support for the Chief Imam and the people of Offa.

The monarch said the governor’s presence at the celebration was a great honour for the community. He prayed for the governor’s success in his job and his future political goals.

The Maolud celebration attracted Islamic scholars, traditional leaders, political figures, and other important people.
