Inter Milan is looking at Nigeria goalkeeper Maduka Okoye, with Udinese pricing the 26-year-old at €20m, according to PUNCH Sports Extra.
Italian media say Inter is checking their goalkeeping choices and have singled out the Udinese keeper as a possible target.
Okoye has made a name for himself in Serie A since joining Udinese. His performances have caught the eye of one of Italy's top clubs. A move to Inter would be a big step forward for the Super Eagles goalkeeper.
But Udinese’s asking price could make any deal tricky as Inter considers whether to chase this interest. There is no formal offer yet, and it is still not clear if the Milan club will pay the asking price.
The transfer talk comes after Okoye had a tough game in Udinese’s 2-1 loss to Torino on Monday. This was their fourth straight defeat in Serie A.
The Nigerian goalkeeper was part of a key moment in the 67th minute. He collided with teammate Nicolo Bertola while trying to clear the ball. This allowed Torino substitute Sandro Kulenovic to score into an empty net.
Despite this mistake, Inter’s interest keeps Okoye in the conversation for their goalkeeping plans. Whether this interest turns into a real offer is still uncertain, with Udinese’s price likely affecting any talks.
