Lagos Government, FirstBank, Zenith Bank Support QEDNG Creative Powerhouse Summit 2.0

The Lagos State Government, FirstBank, and Zenith Bank are backing the second edition of the QEDNG Creative Powerhouse Summit.

Other supporters include the Lagos State Internal Revenue Service (LIRS), Fidelity Bank, Polaris Bank, Africa Soft Power Group, and Nigeria LNG Limited (NLNG).

Mighty Media Plus Network Limited, which publishes QEDNG, announced this on Wednesday.

QEDNG Creative Powerhouse Summit 2.0 is themed "Creativity, Culture and Nigeria’s Next Chapter." It will take place on 11 August at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Ikeja GRA, Lagos.

The summit will gather leaders from creative industries, business, government, and technology. They will discuss how better partnerships among government, investors, and the creative community can create growth, jobs, and sustainable development.

FirstBank, NLNG, and Polaris Bank are returning for the second year. They supported the first edition of the summit in 2025.

The organisers also recognized the help from media and logistics partners. These include Abelinis Limited, ID Africa, Integrated Digital Communications Limited (IDCL), and IBST Media, whose support is crucial for this year’s summit.

Olumide Iyanda, the publisher of QEDNG and convener of the summit, spoke about the rising support for the event. He mentioned that the involved institutions believe in Nigeria’s creative economy.

"We appreciate every organisation that supports the QEDNG Creative Powerhouse Summit. Some have given sponsorship, while others contribute through partnerships, media collaboration, and logistics. Each contribution matters because it helps us build a space for leaders from various sectors to discuss Nigeria’s creative economy,” Iyanda said.

Iyanda added that the summit aims to encourage teamwork among policymakers, investors, business leaders, and creative professionals. He stressed that ongoing partnerships are key to unlocking the full potential of the sector.

Earlier, the organisers announced Demola Aladekomo, executive chairman of SmartCity Resorts Plc, as chairman of the summit. Ife Adebayo, national coordinator of the Investment in Digital and Creative Enterprises (iDICE) programme at the Bank of Industry, will be the keynote speaker.

Other confirmed speakers include Joke Silva, Steve Babaeko, Bukunmi Ilori-Adeaga (known as Kiekie), Efe Omorogbe, Omotayo Inakoju, Yibo Koko, Dr Olamide Okulaja, Anwuli Ojogwu, and Fisayo Fosudo. Veteran broadcaster Gbenga Adeyinka will host the summit, while Steve Ayorinde and Funke Treasure will moderate the panel sessions.
