Man Utd Tops Community Shield Winners with 21 Titles, Arsenal Follows with 17

Manchester United has won the Community Shield more than any other team. They have lifted the trophy 21 times.

Arsenal comes next with 17 wins. Liverpool stands third with 16 trophies.

These numbers were shared by the Premier League before Sunday’s 2026 Community Shield. The match is between Arsenal and Manchester City at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium.

United’s 21 wins keep them four titles ahead of Arsenal. They are also five titles ahead of Liverpool, while Everton follows with nine wins.

Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur have each won the Community Shield seven times. Chelsea and Wolverhampton Wanderers have both lifted the trophy four times.

Arsenal can narrow the gap with United when they play against Manchester City on Sunday. They won the Premier League title last season.

City will also be aiming for their eighth Community Shield win after securing the FA Cup.

The Community Shield started in 1908. It is played between the Premier League champions and the FA Cup winners. If one team wins both, the runners-up from the Premier League compete instead.

Manchester United’s 21 victories set the standard. Arsenal and Liverpool are the only other teams with more than 15 wins.
