Monza coach Ivan Juric has praised Super Eagles midfielder Ebenezer Akinsanmiro after his strong showing in their 4-0 win over Cagliari. Juric noted that the Nigerian is getting better and has earned his spot in the team, according to PUNCH Sports Extra.

Akinsanmiro started Monday’s Serie A match at the U-Power Stadium, teaming up with Foe Ondoa in midfield. Monza secured a convincing win, marking their second league victory of the season.

After the match, Juric shared his happiness with Akinsanmiro’s performance and growth. He also praised Ondoa for his smart play and progress.

“Akinsanmiro played very well today and is improving. I didn’t think Foe Ondoa could already play at this level. He’s incredibly intelligent; he’s earned his place. Great game today,” the Croatian coach said, as reported by SOS Fanta.

The win allowed Monza to bounce back from a tough first half. They showed a strong performance after the break. Eddy Kouadio opened the scoring in the 39th minute. Gustavo Varela doubled their lead just two minutes into the second half.

Jay Robinson added to the score in the 66th minute. Varela then completed his brace in the 79th minute to secure the impressive win.

Akinsanmiro, who joined Monza on loan from Inter Milan, will look to build on this performance as he aims to make his mark in Italian football.

The 21-year-old spent last season on loan at Pisa, playing 24 league matches and providing one assist.

His recent game gives him more hope as he tries to keep his spot in Juric’s starting lineup and continue growing in Serie A.
