Mother of APC National Secretary Passes Away, Osun APC Mourns

The mother of the National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, Senator Ajibola Basiru, Alhaja Sidikat Basiru, has passed away.

Her death was announced in a statement signed by Kola Olabisi, the Osun State APC Director of Media and Information, which was released on Sunday in Osogbo.

The Osun APC expressed deep sympathy to Senator Basiru and his family over the loss of their beloved mother.

The party called her death a painful loss, not just for the family but for everyone who knew her and benefited from her good life.

In the statement from Olabisi, the APC said: "The passing of the late Alhaja Basiru was in accordance with the will of Almighty Allah, who gives life and takes it at His appointed time."

The party encouraged the grieving family to accept Allah's will with faith and total acceptance.

The APC also mentioned that while death is unavoidable for everyone, "The departure of a caring mother and a respected matriarch always leaves an irreplaceable vacuum."

Olabisi described the late Alhaja Basiru as a virtuous woman known for her humility. He also highlighted her kindness, discipline, and commitment to serving Allah and humanity.

"The Osun APC stands with Senator Basiru at this hard time, recognizing the deep sorrow that comes with losing a beloved mother.

"We pray that Almighty Allah gives him, his siblings, and the whole family the strength, patience, and courage to cope with this painful and irreparable loss," the statement continued.

It added, "The greatest tribute to the late matriarch is the great legacy of good character, moral upbringing, and service to humanity that she passed on to her children, especially Senator Basiru, whose commitment to public service inspires many inside and outside the APC."

The Osun APC expressed its condolences to the entire Basiru family, friends, and associates. They prayed that Allah, in His mercy, forgives the deceased's shortcomings, accepts her soul, expands her grave, lights it with His light, and welcomes her into the highest rank of Al-Jannatul Firdaus.

The Osun State APC reaffirmed its support for the senator and his family during this time of mourning. They prayed that Almighty Allah provides them with comfort, peace, and strength to get through this tough time.

The party also hoped that the cherished memories and lasting legacy of the late Alhaja Basiru would continue to inspire all who knew her.
