Lagos is set to add some excitement to its festive season with the first edition of Last Woman Standing Naija. This event will take place on Saturday, December 5, 2026, at JJT Park, Alausa, Ikeja.

Organised by Kandaval Communication, the event hopes to attract 1,000 women to join in fun games that will test their stamina, focus, and competitive spirit.

As a kick-off to the month-long celebrations, the organisers aim to promote female empowerment, friendship, and healthy competition through enjoyable activities instead of traditional fitness challenges.

Contestants will compete in fast-paced games like 10-10, sack race, jump rope, and hula hoop contests, among others.

The last woman standing will be crowned the first-ever champion and will take home the N1m grand prize.

The organisers also announced over N1.5m in cash prizes for runners-up and more than N1m in consolation prizes. More than 140 women are expected to benefit from different prize categories, making sure rewards go beyond just the top winner.

Spectators will also have chances to win prizes, including free flight tickets and other exciting giveaways.

This initiative aims to make the event rewarding for everyone involved, creating a lively atmosphere for families, friends, and supporters during the festive time.

Tony Obot, Managing Director and CEO of Kandaval Communication, shared the idea behind the event. He said they wanted to offer something different from the usual concerts and parties that fill Lagos in December.

"Lagos in December is packed with concerts, raves, and parties, but we wanted to create something truly impactful, unforgettable, and empowering specifically for women," Obot said.

He described Last Woman Standing Naija as a lively celebration of sisterhood, stamina, and willpower. He said they chose familiar childhood games to make the competition fun and relatable.

According to him, the event will allow women to show their determination and competitive skills while enjoying the festive season.

Obot also spoke about the rewards, saying the organisers want both contestants and spectators to gain from the event.

"By providing a platform where over 140 women walk away with substantial rewards, and offering flight tickets and prizes to our audience members, we are making a statement about celebrating and rewarding everyone who shows up to support," he said.

He encouraged women who feel they have the stamina, focus, and determination to compete to sign up for the event.

Registration for Last Woman Standing Naija is free, but only the first 1,000 women to register will participate. Organisers encourage interested participants and supporters to follow Last Woman Standing Naija on social media for more updates.
