Gospel singer Nathaniel Bassey has expressed his gratitude to Pastor Jerry Eze, founder of Streams of Joy International, for surprising him with a new car.
Bassey shared his excitement in an Instagram post on Friday. He mentioned that he planned to have a quiet day thanking God. He had no idea that Eze was secretly working with his wife to give him the car.
The singer said he was left “speechless” by the surprise. He noted that Eze insisted on getting the best car after his wife suggested a different one.
Bassey recalled Eze telling his wife, “my brother can’t drive that,” while pushing for a better option.
He wrote, “Normally I keep things like this private, but not this one. I want to share this.
“Woke up yesterday just desiring a nice easy day of gratitude to God. Unknown to me my brother and friend @realjerryeze had this holy coup ongoing with my wife.
“Of a truth the surpriser had been surprised. Still don’t know how to really express this in words.
“He insisted on going for the very best when my wife suggested one to get. In His words ‘my brother can’t drive that’.”
Bassey praised Eze for his generosity. He said that he knew about other surprises Eze was planning for people.
He added, “Pastor Jerry, not only has he done this for me. I know of a couple of other ones like this he is currently planning. The man gives like his life depends on it.”
The singer publicly thanked Eze for the kind gesture. He prayed that the joy Eze brought to his family would return to him and his family many times over.
He said, “And I’m here to publicly say thank you PJ (Pastor Jerry), You know even if you never do this, I’d still love you the same. Thank you Sir. Like I told you, I am speechless. May the smile you have put on my face and family be seen in multiple folds on you and yours in Jesus’ name.”
Bassey also asked his followers to join him in thanking Eze for the surprise.
He wrote, “So please, help me thank him on my behalf. Weary him today with gratitude. Tell him his brother is grateful.”
In another post, Bassey shared a picture of himself with the new car. He wrote, “This is how God through @realjerryeze made me feel yesterday, Speechless.
“Pastor Jerry thank you sir. Still stunned.”
