Super Eagles midfielder Tochukwu Nnadi is set to return to action for Marseille this weekend. He has recovered from a knee injury that kept him off the pitch for the last month.

The 23-year-old has had a tough start to the season. He began the campaign as a backup player, coming off the bench twice before getting injured just before the international break. This injury also meant he could not join Nigeria's squad for the recent AFCON qualifiers.

At first, there were worries that the knee injury could be worse than expected. But new reports say Nnadi is now fully fit and feels no pain. This puts him back in the running for a spot in Marseille’s squad for their Ligue 1 match against Troyes at the Stade de l’Aube.

Marseille will miss midfielder Pierre-Emile Højbjerg, who got hurt while playing for Denmark during the international break. Coach Bruno Génésio might change his starting line-up, which could give Nnadi a chance to start and show he can be a regular in the team.

The French club has been struggling lately, losing their last five matches. Troyes has also had a rough time, losing three of their last five games. Marseille has a strong record against Troyes, winning their last five encounters, and they will go into this match as slight favorites.

Since making his Super Eagles debut at the Africa Cup of Nations earlier this year, Nnadi has been a regular choice for the national team whenever he is fit and in form. He would likely have been picked for the recent international matches if he had been available.

Now that he is fit again, the former Zulte Waregem midfielder will aim to get consistent playing time at Marseille. He wants to help the team turn around their poor results. Getting regular minutes would also boost his chances of making it back to the Super Eagles for the November international window.
