Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has been named a supporter of the 335-member campaign team set up by Accord Party House of Representatives candidate, Pelumi Olajengbesi. This is in preparation for the January 2027 election in the Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency.
Olajengbesi, who was the spokesperson for Adeleke’s 2026 governorship campaign, shared the news about the campaign team on his Facebook page on Wednesday.
His involvement in Adeleke’s campaign has been reported in various news articles about the 2026 governorship election.
“The team brings together political stakeholders, professionals, community leaders, women, youths, students and grassroots mobilisers from across the constituency,” he stated.
Adeleke is listed among the team’s supporters along with Kazeem Akinleye and Dele Faseru.
“The team will be chaired by Osun State Commissioner for Environment, Mayowa Adejorin, and Bayo Ogungbangbe, the Commissioner for Cooperative and Empowerment, will be the deputy chairman,” he added.
Adesoji Baderin has been appointed as Director-General, while Ladesuyi Tope and Sola Adeyekun will serve as deputy directors-general for Obokun and Oriade respectively.
Omotoso Eniola has been named secretary, Ademola Asaju as assistant secretary, and Sodiq Lawal Chocomilo has been appointed as spokesperson.
The campaign team is made up of 20 committees covering different areas like political strategy, grassroots mobilisation, ward coordination, youth and women affairs, media and publicity, digital communication, research and policy, legal compliance, election monitoring, finance, logistics, security, professional engagement, students, religious groups, party affairs and diaspora outreach.
Committee heads include Ayodeji Areola for Elders and Stakeholder Engagement, Adekusibe Okeowo for Strategy and Political Planning, Yemisi Itiola for Mobilisation and Field Operations, and Soji Bejide for Ward Coordination.
Osundokun Osundare will lead the Youth Mobilisation Committee, while Roseline Adeyemi will head the Women Mobilisation Committee.
Tope Abiola will head the Media and Publicity Committee, and Niyi Odinna will oversee Digital and New Media.
Other committee leaders include Jimoh Odunayo for Research, Policy and Manifesto, Ayodele Justice for Legal and Compliance, Komolafe Fopefolu for Election Planning and Monitoring, Femi Awe for Support Groups, Tola Faseru for Finance and Fundraising, and Olorunfemi Olatunji for Logistics and Operations.
Seun Fapounda will chair Security and Intelligence, Olumide Agboola will lead Professional and Business Engagement, Gbenga Olaleye will head Students, and Ayo Omisade will chair Religious and Faith-Based Engagement.
Adeloye Samuel will lead Party Affairs and Political Engagement, while Kolawole Adesokun will head Diaspora and External Engagement.
Olajengbesi, a lawyer and Accord Party candidate, is contesting for the Oriade/Obokun seat currently held by Wole Oke. Oke has been the representative for the constituency in the House of Representatives for over twenty years.
The newly formed team is expected to coordinate the candidate’s campaign activities, political engagement and grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 federal constituency election.
