Femi Otedola, the chairman of First HoldCo Plc, has shared a memory from 49 years ago. He revealed that he once shared a bunk bed with Lagos State Deputy Governor Obafemi Hamzat during their boarding school days.

Mr Otedola posted this on X after hosting a dinner for his old schoolmate, Mr Hamzat. The dinner was attended by Aliko Dangote, the president of Dangote Group, and Abdulsamad Rabiu, the chairman of BUA Group.

The business mogul praised Mr Hamzat's character. He said over the years, Mr Hamzat has shown honesty, sincerity, fairness, and strong moral values.

“Yesterday, I hosted dinner in honour of @DrObafemiHamzat, the incoming Governor of Lagos State,” Mr Otedola wrote.

“A man of the highest integrity, with whom I shared a bunk bed at boarding school 49 years ago,” he added.

Mr Otedola spoke about how knowing Mr Hamzat for so long has helped him understand the deputy governor's character and values. He mentioned that his experience of Mr Hamzat’s character has always been shaped by his honesty, sincerity, fairness, and moral principles.

However, Mr Otedola did not reveal the name of the boarding school they attended together.
