Otti gives ₦1m each to Abia returnees from South Africa

Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, has approved the payment of N1 million each to 31 verified returnees from Abia State who just came back from South Africa.

This approval is for immediate relief as support, showing the returnees that the Abia State Government is there for them during this tough time.

The information comes from a press statement released by Governor Otti’s spokesperson, Njoku Ukoha, on Saturday, 15 August.

The approval includes ongoing profiling of each returnee to look at their individual situations and economic realities. This will help the government to plan the right support for their reintegration and social protection based on their specific needs.
