Fuji music star Wasiu Alabi, known as Pasuma, is deeply saddened by the death of veteran Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan, also known as Ogogo. He called Ogogo's passing a significant loss for the Nigerian film industry.

On his official Instagram page on Tuesday, Pasuma shared a heartfelt tribute. He described the news of Ogogo's death as a nightmare and prayed for the late actor’s soul.

“My heart is completely broken; writing this feels like a nightmare I can’t wake up from,” Pasuma wrote.

“My dear brother, Alhaji Taiwo Hassan Ogogo, you fought so hard, but Allah loves you more. Yoruba cinema will never be the same without your towering presence and beautiful soul; the tears won’t stop falling, but I find comfort knowing you are resting in perfect peace.”

Pasuma also prayed for the family Ogogo left behind. He said, “May Almighty Allah grant you Al-Jannah Firdaus and wrap your beautiful family in His comfort. Sun re o, egbon mi.”

This emotional tribute adds to the wave of grief across the nation after the passing and burial of the beloved actor. He died following a battle with stage-four cancer.

President Bola Tinubu, Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun, and many others also paid tribute to Ogogo. They recognized his dedication to Nigerian arts and culture over the years before he was buried according to Islamic rites.
