Veteran Nollywood actor Pete Edochie has revealed that he is having a hard time walking and has swelling in different parts of his body.
Edochie shared this during a visit to sick Ghanaian actor Emmanuel Armah in Accra, Ghana, on Thursday. A video of the visit is now making the rounds online.
During this emotional visit, Edochie prayed for Armah's recovery and offered financial help for his care.
While speaking about his own health, Edochie said he remains hopeful of getting better despite his challenges.
"Sitting down here, I’m not very well myself. Walking is a problem for me now, but I still have hope that I will recover myself."
He added, "Sometimes I get up, and parts of my body are swollen. After some time, it goes down again. Like my hand is swollen now."
Edochie expressed worry about being a burden to people around him. He mentioned that he has asked God to take him when his time comes instead of leaving others to take care of him.
"I just keep asking God, ‘You are the author of life. Whenever you feel it’s time for me to go, just take me, don’t let me bother the people who are around me. Just take me,’" he said.
His comments came during the visit to Armah, who has been ill for nearly 11 years.
"It is my belief that you will recover one day," he told Armah.
The visit reportedly made Edochie emotional as he saw the condition of his Ghanaian colleague, whom he went to support.
Edochie continues to express hope for Armah's recovery while also providing help for his treatment.
