PREMIUM TIMES’ business and economy editor, Oladeinde Olawoyin, has been chosen for the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) program in Vienna, Austria.

Mr Olawoyin was selected along with other top energy editors and correspondents from around the world.

The agency stated that the program will look into key parts of the IAEA’s work due to the rising global interest in nuclear power.

The program will gather leading journalists from various countries. It will include field trips, travel, press conferences, talks with IAEA experts, and social occasions.

Earlier in 2017, Mr Olawoyin was nominated in the journalism category of The Future Awards Africa, the 2018 West Africa Media Excellence Awards (WAMECA) in Ghana, and the Nigerian Breweries Golden Pen Awards in Lagos.

He has taken courses on business, finance, economics, agriculture, energy, and capital market reporting in Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, the UK, the US, and other places.

As the business editor at PREMIUM TIMES, Mr Olawoyin has led several editorial and investigative projects. He has supervised teams of reporters and mentored many journalists both within and outside the organization.

He has also guided PREMIUM TIMES’ editorial team in creating the newspaper’s annual banking report. This special publication gives insights into the state of the Nigerian banking sector for analysts, investors, and market watchers.
