Paris Saint-Germain’s Qatari owners announced on Thursday that they have bought Belgian club Eupen. This comes months after they took charge of the second-division team.
Qatar Sports Investments (QSI) shared in a statement that they have "completed the acquisition of KAS Eupen."
The statement added, "This formalises QSI’s full ownership of the club, following its takeover of KAS Eupen’s sporting operations in December 2025."
QSI and Eupen "have been working closely together to build a strong foundation for the club’s long-term sporting and commercial development," the statement said.
QSI bought a majority stake in PSG in 2011. They also hold a minority stake in Portuguese club Braga since 2022.
Since QSI took over PSG, the French club has won 12 out of their last 14 Ligue 1 titles. They are also the two-time defending Champions League winners.
Eupen has been under Qatari control since 2012, mainly through the Aspire Academy. The academy uses the club to develop young talents.
Eupen got relegated to the Belgian second division in May 2024 after spending eight seasons in the top league.
