Samsung Electronics has launched the Galaxy Tab S12 series, which includes the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and Tab S12+. This new lineup offers Samsung's best tablet experience with great performance, long battery life, and the latest Galaxy AI technology. The tablets are designed to make complex tasks easy, whether you are learning new skills, chasing career goals, or following your creative passions.
Both the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and Tab S12+ have large, immersive displays and come with the S Pen, which makes note-taking and editing easier. Users can access professional apps and various accessories to help them follow their passions and achieve their goals without hassle.
The Galaxy Tab S12 series combines portability with professional power, giving users quick access to features whenever they need inspiration.
Lucas Lee, CEO of Samsung Electronics West Africa, said, "The Galaxy Tab S12 series is made for purpose-driven individuals seeking tablet devices that match their ambition."
Powerful Performance in a Slim Design
The Galaxy Tab S12 series offers strong performance and long-lasting battery life in a thin design. At just 5.1mm thick, the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra is Samsung’s slimmest tablet and delivers the best performance ever seen in a Galaxy Tab. For example, someone taking an online course while working full-time can catch up on lessons during their commute and then complete exercises on the tablet at a café or library later.
Both models are designed for long use, allowing users to keep going without interruptions. The battery lasts up to 23 hours on the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and 21 hours on the Tab S12+, supporting productivity throughout the day. When it is time to recharge, the battery goes from 0% to 100% in about 95 minutes using the 45W adapter, reducing downtime so users can return to their tasks.
The Galaxy Tab S12 series also delivers impressive performance. The new 3nm processor is 61% faster in NPU processing and 19% quicker in CPU performance compared to the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra. This means users can handle demanding tasks faster. Whether working on creative projects or watching a lecture while taking notes, the experience remains smooth and responsive.
A new 3D Vapor Chamber helps keep the device cool, ensuring reliable performance during intensive tasks like video editing or graphic design. Built for durability, the Galaxy Tab S12 series is IP68-rated for water and dust resistance, giving users peace of mind.
The series features a large screen that allows users to think bigger. The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra has a 14.6-inch display, while the Tab S12+ has a 12.6-inch display, both with slimmer bezels for more screen space. They also have Dynamic AMOLED 2X displays that can reach up to 1,600 nits of brightness, providing clear visuals indoors and outdoors. The upgraded Vision Booster adjusts brightness based on lighting for comfortable viewing.
Users will enjoy enhanced sound quality with 4-channel spatial audio, which offers a richer experience for streaming content, following tutorials, or editing.
Simplifying Daily Tasks
The Galaxy Tab S12 series turns its large screen into a flexible workspace. Running on Android 17 with One UI 9 and the latest Galaxy AI, it combines research, note-taking, creation, and AI support in one place. This gives users the freedom to explore ideas, capture important information, and apply what they learn.
With its immersive screen, the Galaxy Tab S12 series allows users to split the screen into three sections. For example, users can take notes in Samsung Notes on one side while watching a lecture and using an AI assistant on the other. Users can jot down key points with the S Pen, while Note Assist summarizes their notes without interrupting the lecture.
Both models come with an ergonomic S Pen for easy note-taking, annotating, and sketching. For a more professional setup, the Book Cover Keyboard Slim offers comfortable viewing angles and a smooth typing experience.
The Galaxy Tab S12 series helps users gather information and get timely support whenever curiosity strikes. Each device comes with a six-month trial of Google AI Pro, which gives access to advanced AI models. Users can ask Gemini questions or explore topics of interest. With Gemini Notebook, users can combine notes, images, recordings, and files in one workspace and create summaries, podcasts, and quizzes to make learning easier.
As users dive into deeper research, Samsung Browser helps them stay focused. It understands webpage content and can summarize information across open tabs, making it easier for users to find relevant insights without wasting time.
An Ecosystem for Skills and Creativity
The Galaxy Tab S12 series provides an excellent platform for putting knowledge into action with professional apps designed to boost skills.
Adobe Photoshop comes pre-loaded on the Galaxy Tab S12 series, marking a first for Android tablets. The app is optimized for tablets, and the S Pen support makes it easy to bring ideas to life. Photoshop features AI-powered tools like AI Assistant and generative AI options, helping users edit quickly. Users also get four months of free access to the Photoshop mobile plan.
Notability, which is also pre-loaded, helps users organize notes and ideas efficiently with S Pen optimization and AI study tools, plus a six-month free trial. Goodnotes offers clean note-taking with a year of free access, while LumaFusion provides professional video editing at a 66% discount. Notion supports flexible writing and organization with one month of its Plus plan free. Clip Studio Paint offers drawing and painting tools with a six-month trial and 20% off the first subscription.
Users can also explore various apps to meet their specific needs. MyScript Math solves handwritten equations, while MyScript Notes summarizes notes into study materials. Noteshelf 3 offers customizable layouts for organizing ideas, and ArcSite turns rough sketches into precise CAD drawings.
Availability
The Galaxy Tab S12 series will be available from October 14 at Samsung Experience Stores, authorized dealers, and partner retailers across Nigeria. The tablets will come in Gray and Silver colors.
Built for long-lasting use, the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and Galaxy Tab S12+ support up to seven OS upgrades and security updates.
For added confidence, Samsung Care+ offers coverage tailored to users' needs. This includes quick repairs for accidental damage, extended warranty, and expert support at home and abroad. Galaxy mobile users running One UI 9 can easily check their Samsung Care+ status for the Galaxy Tab and enroll through the Warranty and Care menu in Settings. This gives quick access to warranty info, self-diagnostics, repair requests, and remote support for connected devices.
