Sunbeth Global Concepts Limited, a top company in agro-commodities sourcing and trading, has successfully paid back its ₦25.1 billion Series 1 Commercial Paper (CP). This was done on time under its ₦200 billion Commercial Paper Programme.

The payment happened on the maturity date of 4 September 2026. This shows the company’s good financial management, strong cash flow, and its promise to investors.

Sunbeth is a major cocoa exporter in Nigeria and plays an important role in the country’s non-oil export sector. In March 2026, the company got approval to create a ₦200 billion Commercial Paper Programme to help its agricultural export growth. Under this programme, the company completed its Series 1, Series 2, and Series 3 issuances in March 2026, attracting subscriptions of ₦165.73 billion against an initial goal of ₦100 billion. Sunbeth accepted ₦150.4 billion from these three series, showing strong demand from investors.

Olasunkanmi Owoyemi, the Chief Executive Officer of Sunbeth Global Concepts Limited, commented on the payment:

“Meeting our Series 1 obligation in full and on schedule reflects the strength of our business fundamentals, prudent financial management and the confidence investors have placed in Sunbeth.

“Credibility is earned through consistent performance, transparency and honouring our commitments. As we continue to scale our participation across the agricultural value chain, maintaining that discipline remains central to how we grow.”

Adeyemi Aduwo, the Chief Financial Officer of Sunbeth Global Concepts Limited, added:

“The successful redemption of the Series 1 notes reflects the disciplined approach we take to capital and liquidity management. Our focus remains on deploying capital efficiently, maintaining strong financial controls and ensuring that our growth is supported by a funding structure that enables us to meet our obligations as they fall due.”

In less than ten years, Sunbeth has become a key player in Nigeria’s agricultural export scene. The company has exported over 200,000 metric tonnes of cocoa beans and 60,000 metric tonnes of cashew nuts to global markets, making it one of the country’s top commodity exporters.

The company works directly with over 30,000 farmers and partners with more than 250 local buying agents across Nigeria. Its global partners include big names like Cargill, GCB Group, JB Cocoa, Touton, Macquarie, and StoneX.

Sunbeth holds investment-grade ratings for both short- and long-term categories from DataPro, GCR, Agusto & Co., and Intelligence Africa. All four agencies rate the company A2 on the short-term scale. For long-term ratings, it is A by DataPro, BBB+ by GCR, BBB by Agusto & Co., and BBB+ by Intelligence Africa, which has a stable outlook.

The company’s Commercial Paper Programme is also under the FMDQ Securities Exchange’s rules for disclosure and reporting. This gives noteholders and the market ongoing insights into the company’s financial status and performance.

Sunbeth keeps improving its procurement abilities, strengthening international partnerships, and expanding into higher-value parts of the agricultural value chain in Nigeria and across sub-Saharan Africa. The company is building a growing operational presence in these areas.
