Tanzanians call for Juma Jux's freedom as they blame Priscilla Ojo for his weight loss

Nigerian influencer Priscilla Ojo is trending online after many Tanzanians filled her social media pages. They raised concerns about her husband, singer Juma “Juma Jux” Mkambala, and his noticeable weight loss.

Fans in Tanzania are asking Priscilla, who is the daughter of actress Iyabo Ojo, to "release" their son. They are using the hashtag #FreeJumaJux to express their worries.

Reports say the backlash started after Juma Jux appeared much leaner at the wedding of TikTok stars Habeeb “Peller” Hamzat and Amadou “Jarvis” Aminata. This made fans blame Priscilla for his weight loss.

Some Tanzanians went further to say that she is leading the singer into financial troubles. They urged her to reduce his spending and take care of his finances better.

Others claimed Priscilla does not feed him enough and advised her to focus on his nutrition. They pointed out that he has lost a lot of weight since they got married.

In response to these critics, Priscilla replied in the comments with humor. She dismissed their worries about her husband and insisted he was doing well. She mentioned that Juma Jux enjoys the attention and is happy in their marriage.

Some of her responses included, "Pussy is too good, he doesn’t want to leave. Aww! Your brothers love it here."

The singer shared a video on his wife’s TikTok page on Monday. He said he is comfortable with how he looks now. He also brushed off rumors that he was sick, saying he does not want to go back to his old appearance.

"I don’t want to be chubby; I’m okay. Before, my stomach was bigger, and I didn’t want to be like that. I like myself now,” he said.

As the calls from Tanzanians for Juma Jux's freedom keep growing, Priscilla is in Accra, Ghana. She is there to host a pop-up sale for her luxury brand, Priscyluxe.

Priscilla and Juma Jux had several wedding ceremonies in Nigeria and Tanzania in 2025. They had their Islamic wedding in Tanzania on 7 February, followed by a traditional wedding in Lagos in April 2025.

The Lagos ceremony saw her parents, Ms Ojo and her ex-husband, Ademidun Ojo, come together to celebrate. They concluded their wedding festivities in Tanzania on 28 May 2025.

The couple welcomed their first child, a baby boy named Rakeem Ayomide Mkambala, in Canada in August 2025.
