Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Policy Communication, Daniel Bwala, has predicted that the President will win by a larger margin in the 2027 presidential election.
Bwala believes Tinubu will do better in 2027 compared to his performance in 2023.
He shared this prediction during an interview reported by Channels Television on Wednesday.
"Let me tell you and let me say it clearly, and I will be happy to come back. The margin that President Bola Tinubu will give to all these candidates will be so much that you won’t believe it," Bwala stated.
Tinubu won the 2023 presidential election with 8,794,726 votes. He defeated the Peoples Democratic Party candidate, Atiku Abubakar, by 1.81 million votes and the Labour Party candidate, Peter Obi, by 2.69 million votes.
Bwala said part of his confidence comes from what he sees as growing support for Tinubu among governors from opposition parties.
Since the 2023 election, several governors have joined the All Progressives Congress from their former parties.
Bwala expects that more governors will support Tinubu in the 2027 election than those who did in 2023.
His comments come as political parties and their candidates prepare for the upcoming 2027 general elections.
But Bwala’s remarks are based on his view of the political landscape and not a guarantee of the election outcome, according to PUNCH Online.
