Frontline politician and Chairman of the New Enugu Smart City Development Authority, USA Igwesi, has been named the Enugu State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors. This appointment is expected to boost the mobilization and grassroots coordination of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda in the state.
President Tinubu approved the appointment after USA Igwesi was nominated by Enugu State Governor, Dr Peter Mbah. The appointment was communicated in an official letter by the Director-General of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Governor Hope Uzodimma. The letter noted that Igwesi's appointment recognizes his commitment, ability, and alignment with the goals of the organization.
The letter said: "This appointment is in recognition of your commitment, capacity, and alignment with the vision and objectives of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating activities within your State, mobilizing stakeholders, promoting the ideals of the initiative, and ensuring effective implementation of programmes at the grassroots level."
Igwesi, also known as Ikemba, is a former Majority Leader of the Enugu State House of Assembly. He has also served as a Member of the House of Representatives for Nkanu East and West Federal Constituency. His new role will involve coordinating and supervising the organization's activities at the state level, gathering support and partnerships, promoting its goals, and keeping effective communication with the National Secretariat.
The Renewed Hope Ambassadors, based in Abuja, have urged the new State Coordinator to perform his duties with honesty and dedication. They expect him to work in a way that maintains the organization's good name.
