Women in Abia State Back Tinubu for Another Term

Women from the All Progressives Congress in Abia State have come together to support President Bola Tinubu's re-election.

They said they will show their gratitude for the President’s efforts to put them in key roles by voting for him in large numbers.

Dr. Oby Agih, the Zonal Woman Leader for the South East of APC, spoke on Thursday in Umuahia during the Abia APC women’s mid-year prayer summit and widows empowerment event organized by Lady C. C. Erondu, the Abia APC woman leader.

Agih said, "Based on what President Tinubu has done, women have decided to give him full support."

She added, "Women are now included in the affairs of the country and they will no longer face hunger. One day, there will be a woman president in Nigeria."

Senator Oluremi Tinubu also encouraged women not to lose hope and assured them that after the 2027 elections, they will not suffer again.

Erondu shared that she understands the struggles of widows since she is one herself. She said, "I decided to use the little I have to put smiles on their faces."

She told the APC widows that Senator Oluremi Tinubu has promised to support them. She added that Tinubu’s government will create jobs for their youths and children.

In his goodwill message, Uzor Azubuike, the APC candidate for Aba North and South, praised the program. He called it "a sacrifice" made by the Abia APC woman leader who took office less than a month ago.
