Algeria, Salah Assad
Salah Assad is the youngest World Cup scorer for Algeria. He was 23 years and 278 days old when he scored twice in a 3-2 win over Chile at the 1982 World Cup in Spain.

Angola, Flavio
Angola has played in just one World Cup, which was in 2006 in Germany. They scored only one goal in that tournament by a player who was 26 years old.

Cameroon, Samuel Eto’o
Samuel Eto’o has impressive records in African football. He became Cameroon’s youngest World Cup scorer at just 17 years and 99 days old during the 1998 World Cup in France.

Egypt, Abdel Rahman Fawzi
Abdel Rahman Fawzi is Egypt’s youngest World Cup goalscorer. He scored twice against Hungary when he was 24 years and 289 days old at the 1934 World Cup in Italy.

Ghana, Asamoah Gyan
Asamoah Gyan made history for Ghana at the 2006 World Cup in Germany. He became the youngest scorer for the Black Stars at 20 years and 207 days.

Ivory Coast, Amad Diallo
Amad Diallo is now the youngest World Cup scorer from Ivory Coast. He scored a last-minute winner against Ecuador in Philadelphia on Sunday at 23 years and 338 days old.

Morocco, Youssef En-Nesyri
Youssef En-Nesyri is Morocco’s youngest World Cup scorer. He scored his first goal in the tournament at 21 years and 24 days during the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

Nigeria, Julius Aghahowa
Julius Aghahowa is Nigeria’s youngest World Cup goalscorer. He scored at 20 years and 26 days during the 2002 World Cup in Japan and South Korea. He scored with a header against Sweden, in a game Nigeria lost 2-1, but his backflip celebration made it memorable.

Senegal, Moussa Wague
Moussa Wague holds a special record for Senegal. He became the youngest World Cup scorer for his country and the youngest African defender to score at the tournament. He netted against Japan at the 2018 World Cup in Russia, aged 19 years and 263 days. His goal broke the previous record held by Draman Haminu.

South Africa, Benni McCarthy
Benni McCarthy became South Africa’s youngest World Cup scorer at the 1998 tournament in France. He scored an equaliser in a 1-1 draw against Denmark at 20 years and 218 days old. He is also the only South African to score in two different World Cups, adding another goal against Spain in 2002.

Togo, Mohamed Kader
Togo has one World Cup goal in history, scored by Mohamed Kader. He scored against South Korea at the 2006 World Cup in Germany. This remains the only goal for Togo in the tournament, making him both the youngest and oldest Togo scorer at 27 years old.

Tunisia, Dylan Bronn
Dylan Bronn is Tunisia’s youngest World Cup scorer. He scored at 23 years and four days old against Belgium during the 2018 World Cup in Russia. This goal was memorable for the Carthage Eagles, as Belgium reached the semi-finals.
