The Premier League has kept its top spot in the global transfer market since 2016. Clubs have spent huge amounts to bring in some of the biggest stars in football.
This time has seen many big deals, with several transfers over £100 million. The top English clubs have boosted their spending power thanks to big broadcast deals and growth in commercial income.
Chelsea has been one of the biggest spenders during this time. They have made some of the league's most expensive signings.
The Blues signed midfielder Moisés Caicedo from Brighton for about £115 million. They also brought in Enzo Fernández from Benfica for around £106.8 million. Additionally, they signed Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa for a reported £117 million.
Liverpool has also been a key player among the big spenders. The club signed Alexander Isak from Newcastle United for a reported £125 million. This transfer made him one of the most expensive players in Premier League history.
The Reds also completed a major deal for Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen.
Arsenal joined the £100 million club by signing England midfielder Declan Rice from West Ham United. The deal started at £100 million, but potential add-ons could raise the total value.
