Access Holdings Plc has named Sa’adu Jijji as the CEO of Access ARM Pensions and Abiodun Adigun as the managing director of Oxygen X Finance Company Limited, which is the group’s digital lending arm.
The company confirmed that both appointments received the necessary regulatory approvals in a filing on Thursday.
Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede, chair of the financial services group, stated that this decision shows the company's commitment to building a stronger team of executives.
He said, “As we continue our strategic evolution from scale to value, the quality of leadership across our businesses becomes an increasingly important differentiator.”
With these new appointments, he explained, “we are ensuring that we have the leadership capacity required to drive superior execution, innovation, governance, and sustainable value creation.”
He added that their appointments support the company’s goal to develop a competitive financial services sector in Nigeria that relies on top talent.
Sa’adu Jijji
Mr Jijji has over 20 years of experience in pension fund management, investment management, actuarial consulting, and corporate strategy.
He has worked in senior roles at major financial firms like Premium Pension Limited, Alexander Forbes Consulting Actuaries Nigeria, and Pension Alliance Limited, where he was the acting managing director/CEO.
In that role, he managed pension assets over N1.2 trillion and achieved impressive results in growth, operational efficiency, governance, and compliance with regulations.
Mr Jijji earned an MBA from the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Ahmadu Bello University.
Access Holdings mentioned that his appointment shows the Group’s aim to strengthen its place in Nigeria’s pension industry while building customer trust, improving investment returns, and creating long-term value for stakeholders.
Abiodun Adigun
Mr Adigun also has over 20 years of experience in financial services, with strong skills in business development, sales leadership, credit management, customer experience, and business transformation.
Before joining Oxygen X, he was the country sales head and chief marketing officer at Credit Direct Finance Company Limited.
At Credit Direct Finance Company, Mr Adigun led major business growth, enhanced market presence, and pushed forward strategic diversification efforts.
He holds an MBA from China Europe International Business School in Shanghai and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.
Additionally, he is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and a member of the Institute of Sales and Marketing UK.
Mr Adigun has completed executive programs in digital leadership and transformation at well-known institutions like Imperial College in London and Singapore Management University.
