Adeleke Votes in Osun Election, Sure of Winning

Governor Ademola Adeleke believes he will win the ongoing governorship election in Osun State.

Mr Adeleke spoke after he voted at Sagba Abogunde Ward 2, Unit 9, in Ede North Local Government Area on Saturday.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the governor arrived at the polling unit around 8:32 a.m. He came with a large group of supporters.

After being accredited by the presiding officer at 8:35 a.m., he cast his vote.

Speaking shortly after, Mr Adeleke said he is confident he will come out victorious in this election. He urged voters to come out in large numbers to exercise their rights.

He reminded everyone to protect their votes until the very end of the process. He said this election gives the people of Osun a chance to choose their governor for the next four years.

The governor encouraged voters to stay peaceful and obey the law during the voting and counting of the votes. He asked them to remain at their polling units to monitor everything, as INEC advises.

Mr Adeleke expressed hope that the election would be peaceful, credible, and truly reflect the people's wishes.
