Nottingham Forest defender, Ola Aina, has said he wants to score at least five goals in the 2026/27 season. This comes after he finished last season without any goals, according to PUNCH Sports Extra.
The Nigerian player started his career as a right winger. Now, he is known as one of the Premier League’s solid fullbacks. Last season, he played 28 matches in all competitions but did not score. He did manage to get an assist in Forest’s 2-1 Europa League loss to Fenerbahce.
Aina spoke on Twitch about his plans for the new season. He mentioned he would need divine help to achieve his goal.
“I need to pray and fast because I did not score any goals last season. The season before, I think I got three (goal involvements),” he said.
“I need to do some serious prayer and fasting because I need at least five. If I get five, I will be content,” Aina added.
Aina plays in different positions, including right back, left back, and centre back. He has already started pre-season training with Forest. The team is preparing for a friendly match against Notts County this Saturday.
