APC Bauchi welcomes over 150,000 new members

The Bauchi State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) is excited to welcome more than 150,000 new members who have joined the Party in a recent wave of political changes across the State.

During a big gathering of party leaders and supporters, lists showing about 117,000 new members were formally presented by the APC's deputy governorship candidate, Hon Farouk Mustapha; Hon Shittu Zaki, a former Political Adviser to Governor Bala Mohammed; and Hassana Arkila.

With more registrations and defections happening across the State, the APC State Chairman, Mohammed Hassan, confirmed that the total number of new members has gone beyond 150,000 and is still increasing.

Among those joining the APC is Hon Hamza, a former Chairman of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), along with about 20 former Local Government Area chairmen. A former member of the House of Representatives has also joined the party with supporters who were previously with the African Democratic Congress (ADC). They were joined by former office holders, political organizers, community leaders, women, young people, and grassroots supporters from all over Bauchi State.

Growing Political Movement

The size and spread of this movement show that the APC is gaining strength beyond individual leaders and established political groups. People from different backgrounds and former political parties are choosing to come together in the APC as Bauchi gets ready for the next elections.

The party praised Farouk Mustapha, Shittu Zaki, Hassana Arkila, and other leaders whose ongoing work in the community has helped this growth. They also appreciated the continued effort by Zainab Babban Takko and other stakeholders whose supporters across the State have shown their commitment to the APC.

Many of the new members mentioned the performance of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration and the growing impact of Federal Government programs in Bauchi State as key reasons for their decision to join.

The party is especially encouraged by the recognition given to the work of the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Professor Muhammad Ali Pate. His leadership in the Federal Government’s health reforms and the help reaching communities in Bauchi State and all over Nigeria have boosted confidence in the APC and shown what good representation can achieve.

Looking Ahead

This increase in membership is important, but the party understands that political strength is not just about numbers. The new registrations need to be properly documented, integrated into ward and local government structures, and turned into active participation in the Party.

The collection and verification of membership records will continue as more information comes in from across the State. The APC welcomes every new member as an equal part of the team and encourages existing members to receive them with unity and a shared goal. The party also calls on the new members to take part actively in building a strong, inclusive, and disciplined Party.

The Bauchi State APC says it remains open to all citizens who believe in accountable leadership, national renewal, and a brighter future for the people of our State. The movement growing across Bauchi is just getting started.
