The All Progressives Congress has denied a fake list going around online. This list claims to show names of candidates who won in the party's recent primary elections.
In a notice on Sunday, the party said it has not put out any official list of winners from the primaries. They warned both members and the public not to trust any unofficial publications.
This statement was signed by Felix Morka, the APC National Publicity Secretary, and posted on the party’s official X account.
The APC stated that any reports claiming to announce the results of the primaries are false and should be ignored.
“The public is therefore advised to disregard any publication or report purporting to announce the outcome of the primaries, as such information is false and unauthorised,” the statement read.
The party explained that those who succeeded would be informed officially through the party’s proper communication channels before they receive their Certificates of Return.
“Successful candidates would be formally notified through the party’s official channels, after which Certificates of Return would be issued in line with established procedures,” the notice stated.
The APC also urged its members, stakeholders, and the public to only trust updates about the primary elections from official APC sources.
