The All Progressives Congress (APC) has denied a fake list of its senatorial candidates that is going around on social media and some websites. They are urging everyone to ignore it.

The party stated that the list named “Concluded List of APC Senatorial Candidates So Far” did not come from them and is completely false.

This information was shared in a statement on Thursday in Abuja by the APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka.

“The attention of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been drawn to a purported ‘Concluded List of APC Senatorial Candidates So Far’ currently circulating on social media and some online platforms.

“The APC wishes to state that the said list is FAKE and did not emanate from the Party,” the statement said.

The party called on its members, stakeholders, the media, and the public to ignore the misleading publication.

“The Party reiterates that only the National Working Committee (NWC) of the APC, acting through its duly authorized channels of communication, is empowered to announce the list of candidates emerging from its primary elections and other constitutionally prescribed processes,” they added.

The APC also warned against spreading unverified information. They believe such news can confuse the public and damage the trust in their democratic processes.

This statement comes a few weeks after the APC held senatorial primaries across different districts in May 2026, ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The primaries had some notable results, including the confirmation of some sitting senators and governors winning senatorial tickets.

Among the 47 aspirants, Ben Murray-Bruce, a former senator from Bayelsa East, and Benson Agadaga were disqualified.
