Tolu Arokodare is on fire since joining Ajax. The Nigerian striker has scored his first league goal. He joins fellow Nigerians like Chuba Akpom and Umar Sadiq, who also found the net this season. ABIODUN ADEWALE reports.
Arokodare had a great game, hitting the back of the net in Ajax's 4-0 triumph over Telstar on Sunday.
The Nigerian came off the bench as Ajax took control of the match in the second half, sealing a strong victory in Velsen-Zuid.
Davy Klaassen got the scoring started in the 37th minute. Steven Berghuis added to the lead 11 minutes into the second half.
Arokodare then scored Ajax's third goal in the 60th minute. He finished a nice play that involved Berghuis. Substitute Marcos Leonardo rounded off the scoring in the 78th minute.
This goal was Arokodare’s fourth in just six appearances for Ajax. He has also assisted two goals during this time.
