The 11th season of Big Brother Naija starts today, and fans are ready for another round of Africa's biggest reality show.

MultiChoice Nigeria said the new season will begin on Sunday, July 26, 2026. The grand prize is a record-breaking ₦160m, the highest since the show started in 2006.

Time and How to Watch

In a statement on July 16, the organizers announced that the launch show will air from 7pm on Africa Magic Showcase and Africa Magic Family. Viewers can catch the 24-hour live broadcast on DStv Channel 198 and GOtv Channel 49.

Fans can also stream the show live on DStv Stream and GOtv Stream.

Prize

The winner of this season will take home a total prize package of ₦160m, which includes ₦100m in cash and a brand-new SUV.

Atinuke Babatunde, Executive Head of Content and Channels, West Africa, MultiChoice, spoke about the new season. She said it will continue to build on what the show is known for with even more surprises.

"Big Brother Naija has consistently changed the game in entertainment in Africa by showcasing real stories and exciting personalities that connect with millions of viewers.

"Season 11 builds on that legacy with bigger stakes, fresh twists, and a mix of housemates that will keep audiences hooked from the premiere to the finale," she said.

Preparations for this season started earlier this year. Physical auditions took place from May 22 to 24 in Lagos, Abuja, and Enugu. Shortlisted applicants were invited to participate.

Participation was free and open to Nigerians aged 21 and older with valid ID.

Host

Ebuka Obi-Uchendu is back as the host. He will lead another season filled with strategic gameplay, challenging tasks, unexpected twists, and dramatic interactions among the housemates.

Last Edition

This new season follows the success of BBNaija Season 10, which wrapped up on October 5, 2025. Opeyemi Ayanwale, known as Imisi, beat 28 other contestants to win a prize worth ₦150m, including ₦80m in cash and an SUV.

DStv and GOtv subscribers can vote for their favourite housemates through the MyDStv and MyGOtv self-service apps. Customers who upgrade their subscription packages will enjoy additional voting benefits.
