The Ogun State Police Command has arrested a 21-year-old butcher named Selim Ayodele. He is accused of stabbing his 26-year-old colleague, Ibrahim Wasiu, to death after a disagreement at their workplace in Alagbole, Ogun State.
The incident happened on October 18, 2026, after both men finished work at a cow meat shop.
A statement from the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, was issued on Friday. It said the incident was reported at Ajuwon Police Station around 8 p.m., prompting the police to respond.
Initial investigations show that the disagreement started over who should sweep the floor at their workplace.

The victim was rushed to Life Hospital but was confirmed dead on arrival.
His body has been taken to Life Channel Private Mortuary in Lanbe, Ajuwon, for an autopsy.
The police confirmed that Ayodele is in custody while investigations continue before his prosecution.

He also advised residents to stay calm and resolve disputes peacefully. He encouraged the public to report any criminal activities without delay.
