Chelsea's manager Xabi Alonso has said that Malo Gusto is ready to play in the upcoming Premier League match against Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge.

But three players, Pep Chavarria, Emmanuel Emegha, and Emi Martinez, will miss the game due to injuries.

Chelsea goes into Saturday’s London derby with two league wins in a row. They beat Bournemouth 5-1 and then defeated Everton 2-0.

Tottenham, led by Roberto De Zerbi, won their first Premier League match of the season last week. However, they have not won any away games yet this season.

After Chelsea's training session at Cobham on Friday, Alonso confirmed Gusto’s return after he missed the Everton game. "Malo is fine," the Chelsea manager said.

Alonso also provided an update on Chavarria, saying, "Pep is training a little bit more, but he is not going to make it for the Tottenham game."

Emegha will also miss the match as he is still recovering. The striker joined Chelsea this summer but has not played yet. "He’s feeling better, but we need to wait," Alonso said.

On the other hand, Martinez will be out for several weeks due to a jaw injury he got during the match against Everton.

The Argentine goalkeeper was carried off the pitch after colliding with Everton's defender Jarrad Branthwaite. He went to the hospital for assessment and later had surgery.

Alonso mentioned that Martinez is recovering well but needs more time before he can play again. "Emi is doing better," he said.

"He had the surgery and day by day he is feeling better, but we still need to wait. A few weeks. Hopefully, less than that, but we need to wait."

The Chelsea manager added that they will keep an eye on the goalkeeper’s recovery with the help of medical experts.

"The good thing is that he is feeling better and we need to listen to his feelings, the opinions of the doctors, the specialists, the surgeons. Considering it was a bad one, he is doing well," Alonso said.

Chelsea is now focused on their match against Tottenham. They hope to keep their winning streak alive in the Premier League. Gusto's return is a positive for Alonso, but losing Martinez and the other injured players means he has some decisions to make before the London derby.
