Sporting Lagos coach Jeffrey Buter has praised Victor Samuel and welcomed Odinaka Okoro back from injury. This comes just before their NPFL match against Plateau United.
Buter spoke about Samuel, saying, “I’m really happy for Samuel after what he has gone through. He is a dynamic player.”
He also mentioned Okoro, saying, “Odinaka Okoro is back in the team after some time out. As a young lad, I am happy for him too.”
Samuel played a big part in Sporting Lagos’ comeback win over Bendel Insurance. The visitors scored just 18 seconds into the match. Samuel brought the team level before Gafar Olaniyan scored to give Sporting Lagos the win in front of their home fans.
Samuel’s efforts helped the team bounce back from an early goal by the visitors. Coach Buter praised his performance as the team looks forward to their next match.
Okoro’s return from injury is also good news for Sporting Lagos. The team aims to keep their winning form in the Nigeria Premier Football League.
They will now focus on their Matchday Nine game against Plateau United. Buter will meet his friend and former colleague, Shola Adegun, who now works with the Jos-based team.
Buter said, “We go back and prepare ahead of Plateau United on Matchday 9, with Shola Adegun, who is a friend and colleague. We shared the dugout, and he is now with Plateau United.”
Sporting Lagos hopes to build on their win against Bendel Insurance. They are looking for another good result in the NPFL.
