Music executive and founder of Dapper Group, Damilola Akinwunmi, known as Dapper, has spoken out about the claims made against him by former artists, Seyi Vibez and Shallipopi, regarding how he managed their music catalogues.

On Monday, Dapper took to his X account to challenge both artists. He asked them to present their contracts and financial records to top audit firms for review, saying the findings would show who owes who.

He said, "I have nothing to hide. The records exist. The authorities have them. Let the process establish the truth. Don’t come online and spill rubbish narratives and lies, only to mislead the public!"

Dapper added, "We already did an audit from a reputable company! Surprise, surprise - who owes who? If you are sure, let’s go to KPMG, PwC, Deloitte, Templers, Aluko & Oyebode, Olaniwun Ajayi LP, Udo Udoma & Belo-Osagie."

"Any top law firm and auditing or accounting firm. Let them run a forensic analysis and interpret both the accounts and the contract for us, and tell you I cheated you?!"

He claimed both artists received what he called "healthy advances" under their contracts and that he had offered them better percentages.

Dapper said, "Everybody got healthy advances! Even giving you more percentage. What more can I do?"

He accused the artists of not wanting to audit their accounts while they were reportedly spending a lot on luxury items.

"Everyone is rich enough to buy chains but never wants to pay for audits! No jagbajantis auditing firm, no kiri-kiri moves."

This dispute started months after the two artists left Dapper Music due to disagreements about how their business was handled.

Seyi Vibez first showed he was leaving in September 2024. He unfollowed Dapper Music on Instagram, changed his bio to "Independent artist" and removed his earlier posts.

Seyi Vibez joined Dapper Music in 2021 and became popular under the label, especially after his 2022 project, Billion Dollar Baby, and the hit song, Chance (Na Ham). He released many projects while with them, including Thy Kingdom Come, NAHAMciaga, and Loseyi Professor.

After leaving Dapper in September 2024, Seyi Vibez came back with his Children of Africa EP in early 2025, about five months after starting his independent journey.

His career has continued to grow, with TurnTable Charts reporting that his catalogue helped boost his new label, NSNV Inc.

Shallipopi also left Dapper Music and Dvpper Digital in December 2024 after nearly three years with the label.

In a statement shared by PUNCH Online, he accused the label of financial mismanagement and lack of transparency in their contracts.

The hitmaker of Elon Musk said Dvpper Digital, a company linked to Dapper, got advances in his name and that Dapper Music later used that money without his approval. He said this arrangement led to a debt that he still does not know the amount of.

Dapper Music denied these claims at the time, saying they provided complete accounting records and were working with auditors hired by the artists.

The company also stated that Shallipopi had renegotiated his agreement with a lawyer and signed a new deal in October 2024.

In his latest response, Dapper addressed the claim that he forged Shallipopi’s signature and questioned the singer’s changing statements.

"You claim I forged your signature, but in your public statement in 2024, you said you were pushed into a deal with Dvpper Digital. Which is it?" he wrote.

Dapper also mentioned that his relationship with Seyi Vibez started in 2021, stating he invested in Seyi’s first project before receiving any music.

"For clarity, this relationship began in 2021, and it started with me putting money down for your first project before getting any music from you. So who made who? God made me, nigga! Dapper Damm, Son of God!"

Dapper accused Shallipopi of not showing up for a scheduled meeting while challenging him to court.

"For our last scheduled appearance, you didn’t show up. I was there, but you want to come online and say, ‘Let’s meet in court’, when you’re the one running from court! Those who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones," he wrote.

He also mentioned trying to get both former artists to work together on music, but now their conflict is their main focus.

"I tried to get you to collaborate on some music, something positive, but see what you are able to collaborate on, even after two years. Learn, guys: collaboration over competition!"

"I will not lower myself by disrespecting what I love, which is music. So I won’t engage in insults. So much to say, but so few ways to say it."
