Two players from Dream Star Ladies F.C. in the Nigeria Womenβs League, Sanni Aishat and Sofiat Razaq, have been picked to represent Nigeria at the LALIGA and EA SPORTS Football Development Programme in Madrid, Spain.
The pair got their spots after the LALIGA EA NEXT Gen Draft took place in Nigeria. This event is a grassroots football initiative organized by LALIGA and EA Sports, working with Legacy Sports, the Nationwide League One, and the Lagos State Football Association.
A total of eight Nigerian players were chosen for this international program, which includes four boys and four girls. Dream Star Ladies produced two of the female players selected.
The program aims to find and develop young football talents from five countries: Nigeria, Morocco, Mexico, China, and Japan.
The players are now in Spain, training and competing with other top young talents from around the world. They are under the watchful eyes of football clubs, academies, and international scouts.
The club explained that the selection process looked at players' technical skills, tactical understanding, physical abilities, and attitude. There was a strong focus on their potential for long-term development.

The club also emphasized its dedication to creating chances for young female footballers to grow their talents and gain international exposure.
